Dr. Mandip Subedi

Dr. Mandip Subedi
Dr. Subedi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. His doctoral research is on the “Liquefaction hazard assessment of Kathmandu Valley. Before transitioning to the academic sector, Dr. Subedi gained valuable experience in different projects as a consultant/designer in government and nongovernment projects. Subsequently, he became the founder and principal of Universal Engineering and Science College, a privately run engineering institution affiliated with Pokhara University. In addition to his involvement in the academic sector, Dr. Subedi serves as the Director of the Provincial Infrastructure Development Authority for Lumbini Pradesh in the Provincial Government. Currently, he also operates a geotechnical consulting and laboratory company called Geotechnical and Associates. Dr. Subedi’s research interests lie primarily in the field of geotechnical engineering, with a specific focus on geohazards, earthquake engineering, and liquefaction. He is a life member of the Nepal Engineers’ Association (NEA), Nepal Geotechnical Society (NGS), and a registered engineer with the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC).
