This initiative, stemming from a recent Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed at the IGC 2023 in Roorkee, aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of geotechnical engineering, specifically addressing challenges in the Himalayan region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theme of the Webinar<\/strong>: Hydro Tunnelling in the Himalayas<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brochure of the event:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ngeotechs.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Indo_Nepal-Webinar_April-6.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indo_Nepal Webinar_April 6<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Objectives Achieved<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased awareness and understanding of complex geotechnical issues in the Himalayas among an international audience.<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced networking opportunities among geotechnical professionals and researchers from India and Nepal.<\/li>\n<li>Identification of areas for future collaboration and joint initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination of critical knowledge and expertise, is vital for advancing regional geotechnical practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Speakers<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Mr. Arvind Kumar Mishra, India<\/strong> &#8211; Delivered a detailed analysis on &#8220;Analysis of highly fragile deep slopes and dam abutments in Himalaya,&#8221; highlighting the unique challenges and innovative approaches in managing fragile geological structures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Gyanendra L.
