In commemoration of the \”11th National Science Day,\” the Nepal Geotechnical Society (NGS) organized the NGS Photography Competition 2023, with support from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology of the Government of Nepal. This event welcomed engineers, scientists, students pursuing engineering degrees, and professionals within the engineering field to participate actively. Impressively, this marked the second installment of this competition, with the inaugural edition taking place during the 9th National Science Day.
Photographers showcased their remarkable talents by capturing moments aligned with diverse themes, including Innovative Construction Techniques, Environmental Impact and Sustainability, Geotechnical Challenges and Innovation, Human Interaction with Infrastructure, Resilience, and Disaster Mitigation, and Innovative Technology for Sustainable Development.
Our panel of judges evaluated entries based on criteria such as Creativity, Technical Excellence, Relevance to Theme, Emotional Impact, and Overall Impression. After careful consideration, we are delighted to announce the winners:
