Sixth NGS Monthly Lecture Series to be held on 18 June 2019

The Sixth NGS Monthly Lecture Series is going to be held as follows:

Date/Time: 18 June 2019 (B.S. 3 Ashadh 2076, Tuesday); 17:30-19:00

Venue: ICT Center, Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur

The lecturers are:

1. Prof. Dr. Toshikazu Hanazato, Graduate School of Engineering, Mie University, Japan: \”Seismic resistability survey of heritage structures and their foundation: A case of Prambanan Temple in Indonesia during the mid-Java Earthquake in 2006\” (Note: subject to change!)

2. Dr. Youb Raj Paudyal, Deputy Project Director, Central Level Project Implementation Unit (Education), National Reconstruction Authority, Nepal: \”Interpretations from microtremor data analyses in the Kathmandu Valley for earthquake damage risk\”

All members as well as non-members or potential members of Nepal Geotechnical Society are requested to participate in the lecture series. The participation is free of cost. The lecture series program will be followed by a brief refreshment with tea/coffee and snacks.
