On 18 June 2019 (Tuesday, 3 Ashadh 2076), the 6th monthly lecture series of Nepal Geotechnical Society was held in the premises of Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. These lecture series programs were started last year June, and this sixth lecture series has marked exactly one year from the first lecture series. In the beginning, these lecture series were planned to be held every month, but considering possible rush in management and participants\’ busyness, the lecture series committee decided to do these lectures once every two months but with two lectures at a time. This time, we had two lectures as follows.

2. Interpretations from microtremor data analyses in the Kathmandu Valley for earthquake damage risk
Lecturer: Dr. Youb Raj Paudyal, Deputy Project Director, Central Level Project Implementation Unit (Education), National Reconstruction Authority, Nepal
(Details of Dr. Paudyal)
About 40 participants including the core and senior NGS members were present in the lecture program. Vice President Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya ran the program while President Prof. Netra Prakash Bhandary chaired the whole program. The program started with a welcome address by Er. Tuk Lal Adhikari, a senior member and former President.
