A Special Seminar on “Slope Stability Works on Nepal Mountains” was held at Hotel Vivanta in Lalitpur by Nepal Geotechnical Society as the lead organizer and in association with Geotechnical Engineering Program, IoE Pulchowk Campus and Nepal Landslide Society on 18 February 2020.
Participated by nearly 100 engineers and geoscientists, the seminar was mainly composed of presentations on four different topics on slope stability, protection, and management issues by a government official, two consulting engineers and an international designer expert. The details of the presentations made are:

The program started with an opening address by the society Vice President, Er. Dr. Indra Prasad Acharya followed by reading out a written message of the society President Prof. Dr. Netra Prakash Bhandary by the society General Secretary Er. Mandip Subedi. The program was also attended by the Director General of the Department of Roads Er. Keshab Sharma and the representative of the President of Nepal Landslide Society Er. Tuk Lal Adhikari as the guests, and they also delivered guest remarks in the end of the program. Finally, the seminar ended with a closing remarks of Er. Shiva Prasad Nepal (DDG, Department of Roads), an Executive Member of the society.
