On 13 September 2021 (Monday), we organized a program to officially launch GeoMandu in presence of invited representatives of the Department of Roads (DoR), Department of Local Infrastructure (DoLI), Institute of Engineering (TU), Nepal Engineers\’ Association (NEA), Structural Engineers\’ Association Nepal (SEANep), Society of Consulting Architects and Engineering Firms (SCAEF, Nepal), and many other individual geotechnical engineers.
The program began with an online welcome address by the President of Nepal Geotechnical Society, Prof. Dr. Netra Prakash Bhandary from Japan. The General Secretary, Er. Mandip Subedi then briefly introduced the details of the GeoMandu launching program. After this, a banner of GeoMandu was unveiled by all representatives of the invited institutions.
The General Secretary introduced the details of the first GeoMandu to be held on 16-18 May 2022. He also introduced the details of the still-draft version of the website of the first GeoMandu.
